So… I’ve been taking a bit of a break. As I stated before, my dad was in town, which had me off-game anyways, but then we had hubby and the youngest’s birthdays, plus another event. I just decided rather than drive myself nuts trying to navigate it all, I’d just take a breather and get back to it on Monday when everything was done.
I hate that anytime I eat above my calorie goals I gain weight – even when I’m still eating in what should be a “maintenance” range (at least according to various calculators). I mean, I know it’s not exact science, but still.. frustrating.

My dad is in town this week, and we typically eat out a lot when he’s here, so the weight gain is not unexpected. He’s still in town for another couple days as well, so don’t imagine this week will be much better. But that’s just the way it goes sometimes.
I know it’s mostly water weight though, so as soon as I buckle back down it will drop off. So not sweatin’ it for now.

I wasn’t very hungry this week. Not sure if it’s just the fact that I know I needed to get to 246 pounds for my one HW challenge that gave me the extra motivation or what, but food just didn’t interest me much this week at all. Hubby even ordered pizza one day and it didn’t even screw up my goals, because even though it was later in the evening, I hadn’t eaten much and still had plenty of calories to spare. I think a lot of it is the heat though. As soon as summer kicks in full-time, my appetite drops. But definitely not complaining here, that’s for sure.
Also… Salted Caramel Oreo Thins!! YUM!

It’s weird. Because on Monday I was at like 249 pounds, and I ate really well this week (finally got my Hungryroot box) and stayed under my calorie goals because I really need to drop another 4 pounds within the next couple weeks to make my challenge weigh-in. So, you can imagine how annoyed I am that didn’t really lose diddly-squat this week. Either Hungryroot’s calorie counts are way off, or I’m retaining water for some reason. But it just sucks. 😦
On a positive note… I hit 250 pounds!!!!

Honestly, I ate a lot of ice cream this week (thank the gods for Halo Top). But if that’s what it takes to get me through, then so be it. I’d been hoping to try out some new healthier stuff from Hungryroot, but my first delivery was a major epic fail (I’ll write more about it later I promise). They are sending out a new box, so we’ll see how it goes when that gets here next week. Until then…

Almost back to where I was. Yay for water weight!
It sucks though because I’m a couple of pounds above where I need to be for one of my HW challenges. The main one I’m doing fine with (and am even ahead of the game), but I did a smaller challenge and I don’t know if I’m going to make it or not. Have to really push it the next couple weeks and I’m not sure if I’m in the right space for that. Haven’t even had the motivation to go to the gym (was sick on Monday so didn’t even have my “have to go” day). So, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Well… I knew this week was going to be rough, and though I tried really hard to minimize the damage, I more or less totally fell off the diet wagon by the time mid-week rolled around (yay for 23rd anniversary and being that time of the month XD).
But, ya know, it’s ok. I really, really needed the break and I know it’s mostly water weight that will drop right back off. So I’m spending another day or so eating things that I don’t normally eat, and then I’ll get back to it.

Still on sort of a gym break, other than my Monday night thing. I definitely feel better when I work out more regularly, but the weather’s been total shit and I am lazy. On the plus side, I was a lot more careful this week about snacking (have to without the extra calorie burn) and was able to drop 3 pounds. It also helped that I literally had to run through an airport the other day. NSV… I didn’t die (a year ago, hell even 6 months ago, I’d have literally not made it). All that hard work at the gym actually counts for something!! LOL
