Weekly Weigh-In: Week 35

Week 35 Current Weight: 288

Pounds Lost This Week: 3

Total Weight Lost: 102 pounds

Despite struggling mightily the last couple weeks, I have officially dropped just over 100 pounds since April!!! Honestly, I’m surprised I’m doing as well as I am, because my food choices the last few weeks (since Thanksgiving) haven’t been all that great, and I’ve been over calories quite a bit (hubby bought another box of Krispy Kreme – what was I supposed to do!!?), but I’ve also been adding short workouts at home as well. And, I do mean short – less than 10 minutes for now, but it’s extra movement, which hopefully I can build up to more. So whatever it is that I’m doing, it’s working, so just going to keep trying to make better choices and moving more when I have the extra spoons. Otherwise… celebrating!!

Dropping It

So seriously, I never (well almost never) shop for clothes when I’m at brick and mortar retailers because they rarely have ever had anything in my size, but I had some extra Kohl’s cash since hubby needed a bunch of new stuff the other day, so I figured I’d look (and if nothing else I’d pick him or the kids up something else). Well, if I ever needed proof and further motivation that I am really doing this thing… this is it. I found a dress in a 2X that fit me. That is 4-5 sizes smaller than what I was wearing when I started this crazy journey back in April. For realzies, I have shorts that are men’s “king size” 7X and shirts that are 6X, and I. JUST. FOUND. A. 2X. THAT. FITS. Comfortably even. And it was on clearance!!! Can’t beat that. XD

Weekly Weigh-In: Week 27

Week 27 Current Weight: 301

Pounds Lost This Week: 3

Total Weight Lost: 89 pounds

My scale is such (or really, my bathroom floor is such) that if it’s positioned improperly, the weight shown is off by about 2 pounds. So generally, I weigh myself 2-3 times (moving the scale slightly to, hopefully, get it back to a level spot) and take whatever the highest weight is, if the weights given aren’t all the same. Why this is relevant… this morning, for a brief shiny moment, I saw my weight under 300 pounds for the first time in YEARS!!! And though, in truth, I still have at least another week to go (assuming that I stay on track this coming week), it was still an awesome feeling to know that I’m so close to one of my mini-goals. Go me!!

Also, those cookie butter shakes really are to die for. I had 2 of them this week – the second one I even worked into my daily calories so it wouldn’t totally wreck everything. Did you know they have 12g of protein in them? They totally do!! XD (boatload of calories, but still… OMG YUM!!)
